Monterey, CA, October 24, 2019 — The Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa swings with music four nights a week in November, with jazz on Friday and Saturday nights, and live rock, pop, country and classical guitar music on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Jazz sessions on Friday and Saturday in November are curated by Hyatt jazz director Dr. David Morwood, a plastic surgeon by day and exemplary drummer by night. Dr. Morwood will bring in noted local jazz luminaries such as Barry Manilow guitarist Mike Lent, keyboardist Gary Meek, bassist Aaron Germain, vocalist Lauri Hofer and Barry Manilow keyboardist Ron Pedley.

Live music will emanate from the Fireplace Lounge on Wednesday and Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and feature popular local singer/songwriter and guitarists such as Marks Banks, Johan Sotelo, Robert McNamara and Jenna Vivre.

This month, one of America's top guitarists will be featured at The Hyatt Regency Monterey! Mike Lent has played on The Tonight Show, Good Morning America, The Today Show, was part of a historic run at the Las Vegas Hilton for five years (only Elvis played there longer), and for the last month on Broadway with superstar Barry Manilow. Mike was the featured guitarist in the musical tribute to Janis Joplin in San Francisco this past year. Mike has recorded and toured with many other great artists such as Jeffrey Osbourne and Usher.

This is not to be missed by any jazz guitar fan! Recording artist Lent will be swingin' away in our Fireplace Lounge with the David Morwood Jazz Band and many special guests for the first four weekends in November — 8 nights in all! Get an up-close and personal opportunity to hear and see one of America's top jazz guitarists!
